It’s scary to be on the receiving end of an aggressor’s wrath, especially if that person is in a much larger vehicle. Such is the case in this dashcam footage in which a man in a heavy-duty Ram, with a bare chassis and a fifth wheel, allegedly began following and harassing people on the road.
Road rager who committed two murders pleads guilty.
Several victims called Lilburn police (which is in Georgia) and officers soon began hunting for the suspect. Considering how distinctive his vehicle is, it didn’t take long for them to discover the man and that’s where things get really interesting.
This suspect either lives in the basement of his brain (that’s the lizard brain) or he just thinks a big truck means laws don’t apply to him. Anyway, while the police follow him with lights and sirens, he just drives at a fairly normal speed, stops at intersections and even uses his turn signal, all without skipping a beat.
It’s almost as if the man’s police dare to do something. One of them does, or at least tries to. Why an officer in a Ford Taurus is the one to pull out in front of this heavy truck is beyond us, but his patrol car is battered and pushed aside like it’s a rag doll.
Probably assuming that his cruiser has already been destroyed anyway, we later see the same officer attempting a PIT maneuver on the Ram. It’s like watching a 100-pound man take on a heavyweight boxer.
The other pursuing officers keep their distance as the chase winds through the city. Our suspect isn’t even trying to speed or do anything crazy. He just uses the truck’s power to push his way and keeps going.
Does the man think he can keep that up forever? Considering that most police car pools don’t have many, if any, heavy trucks, aside from the SWAT team, they are clearly outmatched.
An attempt to spike the truck’s tires and even the playing field a bit won’t work, nor will a second attempt. A PIT attempt by our camera car is also ineffective. It’s as if our road rager is invincible.
He literally plows through stopped traffic after rebuffing the police’s attempts to stop him. Unfortunately, we cannot see how the police finally caught him. Maybe they saw him outside the truck and took him down that way? But it is clear that the heavy Aries had completely overwhelmed the police.
