Summary
Established in 2011, the Stand Together Network (STN) is a well-regarded grassroots charity based in Edmonton, North London. We focus on supporting marginalised, working-age Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, and Refugee (BAMER) communities, with a particular emphasis on women who are often ‘hard-to-reach-and-engage.’ These women face structural inequalities, including poverty, gender discrimination, domestic violence, and migrant discrimination.

STN provides flexible, tailored training and blended support services, both online and in-person. We offer a wide range of advice on welfare, housing, homelessness, domestic violence, education, ESOL, computer skills, employability, and other training programs.

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Project Worker to join our dedicated team at STN. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting the delivery of our services. The position requires a high degree of flexibility, as tasks and responsibilities can vary significantly depending on the needs of different projects. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include providing general administrative support, answering phones, greeting visitors, managing schedules, and organising files. Additionally, you will handle emails, prepare documents, and support team members with various administrative needs to ensure the office runs efficiently. Providing general information and advice to our clients.

You will also be expected to take on additional tasks as required, which may involve assisting with project-specific tasks, coordinating events, or supporting colleagues in various capacities. The ideal candidate is proactive, able to shift priorities easily, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where the nature of the work can change frequently.

– Ensure the smooth running of the office by providing general administrative support.
– Handle emails, prepare documents, and support other team members with their administrative needs.
– Perform tasks necessary to ensure effective service delivery and the development of our services.
– Assist the project manager in completing and submitting all funding paperwork and reports.
– Maintain a flexible schedule, work collaboratively as part of a team, and adapt to evolving work tasks.
– Promote STN’s policies on inclusivity, equality, diversity, health and safety, and safeguarding.
– Attend training sessions, learn new skills, and apply them in your role.
Qualifications and Skills:
– A good standard of education (e.g., NVQ Level 3, BTEC Level 2/3, A-level, GCSE, Further or graduate level, or another relevant qualification).
– Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Proficiency in IT, especially with the Microsoft Office suite.
– The ability to work flexibly, maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, and manage time effectively.
– Personal qualities include being professional, outgoing, self-motivated, empathetic, non-judgemental, trustworthy, understanding, and compassionate.
– Proficiency in an additional language is desirable.
